Step-by-step instructions
1PDF page properties
Compare the document dimensions with the configured label or full sheet size. Confirm you opened the intended saved job.
2Print settings
Select the correct media and 100% or Actual size. Turn off automatic shrinking, fitting and booklet or multiple-page modes that were not part of the layout.
3Margins and feed
Check printable margins, roll calibration, gap sensing, orientation and sheet feed against the printer manual.
4Physical measurement
Measure the printed page area and symbol. Inspect small text, clipping, color and the QR clear border.
5Scan
Scan more than one lot code from the actual printed output. Confirm each opens its own destination.
6Adjust and revalidate
If the stock layout changes, create a new validated job. Reprinting the same wrong settings cannot fix the layout.
The printed output matches the validated dimensions and every required element remains legible and complete.
If something goes wrong
One edge is clipped
The printer printable area may be smaller than the media. Increase margins or choose compatible stock.
Only QR scanning fails
Check ink contrast, physical QR size, quiet area, damage and destination availability.
Output looks correct on screen only
A screen preview is not physical printer acceptance. Keep the failed sample for comparison.
